As an extension of our ecological landscaping services, Genus Loci delivers ecological restoration and management services tailored to the restoration and rehabilitation of natural habitats and ecosystems such as woodlands, ponds, creeks, shorelines and wetlands. As a design-build company, Genus Loci offers a full spectrum of services to carry projects through to completion. Genus Loci can coordinate the preparation and delivery of biophysical studies, inventories and assessments required for restoration projects and the permitting process. Our landscape architects prepare the site plans, details and working drawings, and our construction team performs the installation. This seamless and streamlined approach is key to our success.

Genus Loci has extensive experience working in near water environments on projects ranging from shoreline and riparian bank stabilization, to wetland and natural channel construction. We specialize in soil bioengineering, whereby native plants are used in combination with geotextiles, stone and other materials and structures to stabilize and re-vegetate erosion prone slopes and shorelines. We also offer a range of ecological restoration services for terrestrial ecosystems such as woodlands and meadows, including exotic species control services.
