Natural Swimming Pool

UPDATE

October 29, 2012

Work crews have installed the fence around the pool, allowing the inspector to give the green light to fill the pool.  With the aquatic plants in, the pool is now finished and it looks stunning!  The system will have the opportunity to run for a couple of weeks before being shut down for the winter.  Summer can't come soon enough for the homeowner.

View the process from beginning to end on our project page.

Natural Swimming Pool

UPDATE

October 23, 2012

The landscaping around the pool has advanced well and is looking exceptionally good. All that remains to be done is the aquatic planting and to fill the pool with water. If all goes well, the plants and water will be in by the end of the week. Unfortunately for the homeowners, they'll have to wait until next year.

Visit our project page to view more photos.

Innisfil Natural Swimming Pool

UPDATE

October 10, 2012

The timber wall is complete, the stone steps are installed and the peastone has been added to the planting zone. If the weather holds up, the pool, minus the aquatic planting, should be finished by the end of the week.

Corten Steel Planters to be Installed Tomorrow

July 5, 2012

The bulk of our project in Richmond Hill, that included mortared Stonelink entrance and all new plantings in the front and back yards, is complete.  All that is left is the installation of the weathering steel, or better known as Corten Steel, planters which will will take place tomorrow.  Weathering steel has become a popular architectural accent material in recent years, used on everything from sculptures to houses to bridges.  This is our first project we have incorporated this material.  Once installed we will post photos.

Genus Loci Is On The Move!

March 1, 2012

We are pleased to announce that Genus Loci has relocated from Schomberg to Snowball, in King Township, effective March 1. Our new office is located at 1344 Wellington St. West, just east of the Dufferin and Wellington St. intersection, on the grounds of the Snowball Garden Centre. By sharing yard space with the Garden Centre, we now have more space to grow our construction division. As well, we now have an 1800ft² office space to run and expand our landscape architectural office. Most importantly, this move means we now have a curb side presence where existing and potential clients can drop in. We are presently designing a showroom to be constructed in April, which will allow us to showcase our work and recent projects. Stay tuned for an announcement on our upcoming “grand opening”. Feel free to drop by and say “hello”!
